Invisalign Services for Lakeside, Sunset, and Ingleside Districts
If you want a straighter smile and healthier teeth and gums, orthodontic treatment may help. Invisalign® can address many orthodontic issues while offering exceptional results without the discomfort or embarrassment of traditional orthodontic braces, for about the same cost.
WHAT IS ORTHODONTICS?
Orthodontics is a specialization within the field of dentistry that requires additional training and certification. Orthodontic treatment involves correcting malocclusion, which is the misalignment of a bite or incorrect spacing between teeth. This is usually accomplished through the use of orthodontic braces or clear aligners such as Invisalign. The cost of orthodontics can vary depending on the materials used, the treatment plan, and even location.

BENEFITS OF ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT
Straighter teeth give you more than a great smile—they also help to reduce your risk for tooth decay and gum disease. If left untreated by a dentist, tooth decay and gum disease can cause pain, mouth sores, tender or bleeding gums, bad breath and possible tooth loss. Orthodontic treatment with Invisalign can assist with straight teeth, helping you to avoid problems such as an improper bite, dental decay, gum disease, difficulty speaking or chewing, and jaw problems.

HOW MUCH DOES INVISALIGN COST?
The cost of Invisalign treatment is comparable to the cost of metal braces, and in the U.S., can range from $3,000 – $8,000. As with other medical treatments, only your doctor can determine the actual cost based on your specific needs and will work with you to customize your individual plan. Other factors contributing to your cost may include the complexity of your individual needs, how long you are in treatment, where you live, your orthodontic insurance coverage, and additional factors determined by your orthodontist or dentist. In some cases, complex treatment needs may result in costs that exceed the range above.

PAYING FOR INVISALIGN TREATMENT
Many dental insurance plans cover Invisalign treatment just as they would other orthodontic treatments like metal braces. Some plans may have orthodontic benefits up to $3,500 for Invisalign treatment. Talk to our insurance specialist or your insurance provider to find out how much you’re covered for. Did you know you can apply your Flexible Spending Account toward Invisalign treatment? You can set up to $2,500 of your pretax dollars aside through your FSA and use those funds to help cover the cost of Invisalign treatment. Then, you can apply for FSA reimbursement. Contact your employer for more information on FSA accounts.
We can offer flexible and affordable monthly payment plans. If your insurance doesn’t cover your treatment costs or if cost is a concern for you, contact us to discuss your options (create a link to email or phone).
INVISALIGN TREATMENT COST IS SIMILAR TO THAT OF BRACES

TALK TO AN INVISALIGN PROVIDER
Your treatment begins after you schedule your initial consultation.
During the consultation, you and your doctor will discuss your case in detail to determine if you're a good candidate for Invisalign. Invisalign now addresses many cases, from simple to more complex. Your doctor will determine if Invisalign is right for you. This will also be your opportunity to ask any questions about Invisalign, the cost, dental/orthodontic insurance, or any other concerns.
A CUSTOMIZED TREATMENT PLAN IS CREATED FOR YOU
Your doctor will take x-rays, pictures and impressions or a scan of your teeth, which Invisalign will use to create a digital 3-D image of them. From these images your doctor will map out a precise treatment plan, including the exact movements of your teeth, and tell you the approximate length of treatment. Using the same technology your doctor will be able to show you a virtual representation of how your teeth will move with each stage of treatment. While every case is unique to each patient, treatment typically takes approximately a year for adults. For teens the length of treatments is comparable to that of braces.
RECEIVE YOUR CUSTOM ALIGNERS BASED ON YOUR PERSONALIZED TREATMENT PLAN
Based on your individual treatment plan, a series of custom-made, clear aligners is then created specifically for you. These aligners are made of a smooth, comfortable, BPA-free plastic that won't irritate your cheeks and gums like traditional metal braces often do. Simply wear them throughout the day, and remove them when you eat or to brush and floss your teeth. As you wear each set of aligners, your teeth gently and gradually begin to shift into place. And because they're virtually invisible, most people won't even notice you're wearing them.

WEAR A NEW ALIGNER EVERY TWO WEEKS
Approximately every two weeks, you will begin wearing a new set of aligners, advancing you to the next stage of your treatment. To monitor your progress, you will also have occasional checkups with your doctor, usually only every six weeks or so. For best results and a timely outcome, you should wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day, throughout your entire treatment. At every stage, you will be able to see how much closer you are to having the smile that reflects the real you.
It's important to keep your retainers clean. Cleaning them helps prevent plaque build-up and discoloration. You can order supplies for keeping your aligners clean at: invisalignstore
